<p>This study investigated how the Tri Hita Karana philosophy which placed an emphasis on harmony and balance in the relationships between people, the natural world, and the divine coexisted with Newsela, a digital learning platform. The study looked into how students felt about this integration and how it affected their motivation, engagement, and reading comprehension abilities. With 65% of students expressing satisfaction and 100% agreeing that the integration improved their learning engagement, this study, which used a mixed-methods approach, found a positive association between cultural relevance and comprehension. Furthermore, 70% of participants said they felt more confident while confronting complicated literature, and 80% said the reading materials were easier to understand. The results indicated that integrating regional cultural values into instructional materials enhanced students' overall development besides their academic performance. This study promoted an all-encompassing educational strategy that combined technology with conventional values, emphasizing the possibility of creative curriculum that connected with students' cultural identities and improved their educational experiences in general. <p>This research aims to examine the relationship between intrinsic motivation and reading comprehension skills of Information Systems Study Program students at Muhammadiyah Riau University. The research used a quantitative approach with a sample of 62 randomly selected students. The instruments used included an intrinsic motivation questionnaire based on the Motivation Reading Questionnaire (MRQ) and a reading ability test based on TOEFL standards. Data were analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test and Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed a weak but statistically significant positive relationship (r = 0.367, p < 0.05) between intrinsic motivation and reading comprehension ability. The findings confirmed the importance of intrinsic motivation in supporting the engagement and development of reading ability, but also showed that other factors such as language skills and reading strategies play a role in comprehending technical texts. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai nilai karakter dalam tradisi <em>ngerebeg</em>. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan metode pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Tradisi <em>ngerebeg </em>ini berlokasi di Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton yang terletak di Desa Kukuh, Kecamatan Marga, Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali. Tradisi <em>ngerebeg </em>ini berlangsung setiap 6 bulan sekali atau 210 dalam penanggalan Bali tepatnya 10 hari setelah hari raya kuningan. <em>Ngerebeg </em>berarti greget yang berarti rasa suka cita dan kegembiraan atau perayaan yang diwarisi secara turun temurun. <em>Ngerebeg </em>juga bisa berarti simbol pelepasan hawa nafsu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa latar belakang dari tradisi <em>ngerebeg </em>adalah makna greget atau merayakan kemenangan sebagai simbol keberhasilan rangkaian upacara piodalan di Pura Dalem Kahyangan Kedaton. Sehingga dalam pelaksanaan prosesi ini, sorak sorai dan ekspresi kegembiraan terlihat jelas dan alhasil setiap perayaan menjadi sempurna dan berjalan dengan lancar. <p>The integration of technology in language education has introduced innovative approaches to enhancing speaking skills, offering new tools and platforms for learners to engage with the language outside the traditional classroom setting. However, despite the growing presence of digital resources, non-English major students continue to face several challenges in using these technologies effectively to improve their English-speaking skills. Key obstacles include low motivation, limited opportunities for authentic language practice, and insufficient feedback on their performance. This qualitative study explores the perspectives of 20 undergraduate students majoring in management at a university in Indonesia, examining their experiences with various technological tools aimed at enhancing their English-speaking abilities. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions, which were then analyzed thematically to identify common trends and perceptions. The findings reveal that while technology plays a significant role in increasing students' motivation, accessibility to learning materials, and confidence in speaking, several issues persist. These include technical barriers such as poor internet connectivity, the lack of personalized feedback from language-learning applications, and the insufficient integration of technology within the traditional classroom setup. Furthermore, many students expressed a need for more structured guidance and support from teachers in utilizing these technologies effectively. The study emphasizes the importance of addressing these challenges by developing improved feedback mechanisms within educational technologies and offering comprehensive teacher training programs. These initiatives would help educators better integrate technology into language instruction and provide more tailored support to students. Ultimately, the study highlights that a balanced approach, combining technology with face-to-face interaction, is essential to fully leverage the potential of digital tools for language learning. <p>This study aims to explore the role of English proficiency in supporting academic careers, with a particular focus on students at the University of Muhammadiyah Riau. As English is a global language crucial for academic and professional success, this study examines its impact on students' academic performance and career opportunities. The research employs a quantitative approach using a questionnaire to assess students' English proficiency and its relationship with their academic success. The data analysis technique uses in this research is correlation analysis with the Corrected Item-Total correlation formula. The results of research on 20 student respondents showed a strong positive correlation between English proficiency and academic achievement, particularly in reading and writing skills, which were linked to higher GPAs and active participation in academic activities. However, lower speaking proficiency indicates a need for further development in oral communication skills. This study underscores the importance of English proficiency for academic success and career advancement, suggesting that enhancing students' speaking abilities could improve their overall academic and professional outcomes. <p>This study aims to investigate the factors influencing non-English major students' interest in applying their english speaking skills in daily life. The research focuses on Chemical Engineering students of the University of Muhammadiyah Riau, Class of 2024. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale, which measured students' interest in speaking English outside the classroom. A sample of 45 students was selected through random sampling from a population of 51, with results showing that 81% of respondents expressed an interest in using English in their daily interactions. The study identifies key factors affecting students' speaking interest, including self-confidence, social environment, and motivation. Results suggest that a supportive environment and intrinsic and extrinsic motivations significantly influence students' willingness to speak English. However, challenges such as lack of confidence and fear of making mistakes remain significant barriers. The study highlights the need for targeted interventions to foster practical English use and bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world communication. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model PBL dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar Siswa SMA Negeri 2 Banjar Pendidikan adalah proses yang bertujuan menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang kondusif untuk memungkinkan siswa mengembangkan potensi mereka secara aktif. Seperti yang diuraikan dalam Undang-Undang No. 20, pendidikan bertujuan membentuk individu yang berintelektual, bermoral, dan memiliki keterampilan praktis yang bermanfaat bagi dirinya sendiri dan masyarakat. Guru, sebagai tokoh utama dalam pendidikan, memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk dan mengembangkan masyarakat. Mereka bertanggung jawab untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan nilai-nilai kepada generasi muda. <p><em>Lumio by Smart</em> merupakan salah satu platform digital yang menawarkan berbagai fitur, seperti video edukatif, latihan soal interaktif, dan aktivitas belajar lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas penggunaan media pembelajaran digital <em>Lumio by Smart</em> dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila. Penelitian kualitatif ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Payangan dengan melibatkan siswa, guru, dan wakil kepala sekolah, mengingat pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila di sekolah ini sering kali masih bersifat monoton karena guru cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah dan media pembelajaran konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, Teori yang digunakan adalah teori Konstruktivisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan <em>Lumio by Smart</em> memberikan dampak positif terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Fitur-fitur interaktif pada <em>Lumio</em>, seperti video, animasi, dan kuis, mampu menarik minat siswa dan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep. Selain itu, lingkungan belajar yang kolaboratif yang diciptakan oleh <em>Lumio</em> juga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif berpartisipasi dalam pembelajaran. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi teknologi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dapat menjadi solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan rendahnya motivasi belajar siswa. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPAS antara kelas siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran tipe<em> treffinger</em> berbasis penilaian kinerja dan kelas siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran konvensional pada siswa kelas V SD No. 1 Jagapati. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitiannya adalah <em>Posttest only control design</em>. Populasi dalam penelitian ini siswa kelas V SD No.1 Jagapati sebanyak 51 orang siswa. Untuk menentukan sampel digunakan teknik <em>random sampling</em>. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VA SD No. 1 Jagapati yang berjumlah 26 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan Kelas VB SD No. 1 Jagapati yang berjumlah 25 orang sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar IPAS dilakukan dengan metode tes yaitu tes hasil belajar, dengan jenis tes obyektif pilihan ganda. Data selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan hasil belajar IPAS antara kelas siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui model pembelajaran tipe<em> treffinger</em> berbasis penilaian kinerja dan siswa yang dibelajarkan melalui pembelajaran konvensional. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil analisis dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh <em>t<sub>hitung</sub></em> = 3,03 > <em>t<sub>tabel (α=0,05,50)</sub></em> = 1,675 dan didukung dengan perbedaan rata-rata hasil belajar IPAS antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu = 78 > = 70. <p>Dunia industri saat ini tengah memasuki perkembangan yang sangat pesat. Dalam konteks ini, perguruan tinggi memegang peran yang krusial dan strategis dalam menghasilkan lulusan yang relevan dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia industri. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan perguruan tinggi untuk mengantisipasi perkembangan dunia industri yang begitu cepat adalah dengan menerapkan kurikulum yang berbasis luaran (OBE). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya penerapan kurikulum OBE di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah studi literatur dengan pendekatan yang bersifat kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam pendekatan ini adalah analisis dokumen atau literatur. Data yang diperoleh, kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik <em>content analysis</em> secara mendalam untuk disajikan secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan, bahwa pentingnya penerapan kurikulum OBE di perguruan tinggi karena bukan hanya menekankan pada apa yang diajarkan (konten), melainkan lebih pada apa yang mahasiswa dapat lakukan setelah mampu menyelesaikan proses pembelajaran. Selain itu, hasil belajar pada Kurikulum OBE mendefinisikan kompetensi pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap yang diharapkan dimiliki lulusan. Lulusan diharapkan memiliki kemampuan untuk melakukan pekerjaan atau tugas yang relevan dengan bidangnya. Ini mencakup keterampilan praktis yang terukur dan dapat diterapkan dalam dunia kerja. Perguruan tinggi yang tidak menerapkan Kurikulum OBE menghadapi beberapa risiko yang berdampak pada kualitas pendidikan, relevansi lulusan di dunia industri, dan efektivitas pembelajaran. There are three main learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Therefore, this study aims to explore the dominant language learning styles and language learning strategies often used by elementary school students. This research used a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative data to provide a comprehensive analysis. Participants included 31 fifth-grade elementary school students and three Indonesian language teachers. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires, interview guides, and observation sheets. Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively, while qualitative data from interviews were examined thematically to support and enrich the quantitative findings. The results of this study showed that students who had a visual learning style were 11 students (35.48%), auditory 10 students (32.26%), and kinesthetic 10 students (32.26%). While for language learning strategies, teachers used 3 strategies, namely cognitive, metacognitive, and social-affective strategies. Solutions that can be done to improve the effectiveness of language learning, teachers need to apply methods that are appropriate to the various learning styles of students. A combination of visual media, discussions, and direct practice activities can help students understand the material better. In addition, assistance in using metacognitive strategies is also needed so that students can develop more optimal learning skills.</p>ArmawatiNursalimSusilasariMastarina

<p>Peningkatan mutu pendidikan merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang tidak dapat ditunda-tunda. Keberhasilan pembangunan suatu bangsa ditentukan oleh keberadaan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas terutama dihasilkan melalui pendidikan yang berkualitas. SMP Dwijendra Denpasar merupakan salah satu sekolah yang mencetak sumber daya manusia dengan cara peningkatan komitmen kerja guru. Peningkatan komitmen kinerja guru dipengaruhi oleh peranan kepala sekolah. Sehingga rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Bagaimana kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMP Dwijendra? 2) Bagaimana peranan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja Guru di SMP Dwijendra Denpasar Tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 ? Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui peranan kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kerja guru di SMP Dwijendra Denpasar Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode Kualitatif dengan Teknik dokumentasi dan Teknik wawancara, sedangkan dalam pengolahan data digunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah SMP Dwijendra Denpasar. Metode penyajian hasil analisis data yang digunakan yaitu, metode penyajian hasil analisis data menggunakan metode informal. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori kepemimpinan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah SMP Dwijendra sudah sangat baik, ditunjukkan dengan adanya beberapa kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan motivasi kinerja guru dan tenaga pendidik. Adapun peranan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan motivasi kinerja guru yaitu, memberikan apresiasi dan penghargaan menciptakan iklim sekolah yang positif dan nyaman, memberikan kesempatan untuk berkembang, kepemimpinan yang visioner dan inspiratif, memberikan tantangan positif, mendukung kesejahteraan guru, dan membangun budaya kolaboratif.</p>Adrianus AhasI Made KartikaHieronimus Sumba Sale
